Plug-in setup
Plug-ins are software components that collect and display information in frames on the EAM dashboard. Most frames can contain an unlimited number of plug-ins.*
Several types of plug-ins are built into EAM, and each has a unique setup. The general process for adding, copying, editing and deleting a plug-in is outlined below. See the help topic for a specific plug-in for greater detail.

Open the dashboard and the dashboard tab that you would like to edit.

Select Enter Design Mode .

Locate the frame to which you would like to add a plug-in.

Select Add Plug-in at the bottom of the frame. The following pop-up appears:

Select Create a New Plug-in. The tool expands to display all plug-in options:

Select the type of plug-in you want to create.

Select Create Plug-in at the bottom of the dialog. A new plug-in is added to the frame, and the appropriate Add pane appears on the right.

Complete the form fields as required/desired.

When you are finished, select Save. The new plug-in appears in the frame.

When you have finished adding plug-ins, select Exit Design Mode in the dashboard tab column to complete the action.
Once you have created a plug-in for a user, you can copy it to other users' dashboards.

Open the desired dashboard and dashboard tab.

Select Enter Design Mode .

Locate the frame to which you would like to add a plug-in.

Select Add Plug-in at the bottom of the frame. The following pop-up appears:

Select Copy Another Plug-in. The tool expands to prompt you to locate the plug-in you want to copy.

Select whether the plug-in belongs to another user, is part of a shared tab or is part of a shared tab group.

What do you want to do?

To choose another user's plug-in:

Select User. A list of existing users appears.

Locate and select the desired user. A list of the user's dashboard tabs appears.

Select the desired dashboard tab. A list of available frames appears.

Select the frame that contains the desired plug-in. A list of plug-ins appears.

Select the plug-in you want to copy to the selected dashboard tab/frame.

Select Copy Plugin. The system adds the plug-in to the selected frame.

To choose a plug-in from a shared tab or shared tab group:

Select Shared Tab or Shared Tab Group. A list of shared tabs or tab groups appears, categorized by module or user group.

Select the desired module or user group. A list of frames appears.

Select the frame that contains the desired plug-in. A list of plug-ins appears.

Select the plug-in you want to copy to the selected dashboard tab/frame.

Select Copy Plugin. The system adds the plug-in to the selected frame.

When you are finished copying the plug-in(s), select Exit Design Mode in the dashboard tab column to complete the action.
If you wish, you may now edit the plug-in without altering the original. See instructions below.

Open the dashboard and dashboard tab that contains the plug-in you want to edit.
- Select Enter Design Mode .

Select Edit Properties next to the plug-in you want to edit. The appropriate Edit Plug-in pane appears on the right.

Modify the settings as desired.

Select Save.

When you are finished editing the plug-in(s), select Exit Design Mode in the dashboard tab column to complete the action.

Open the dashboard and the dashboard tab from which you would like to remove a plug-in.

Select Enter Design Mode .

Select Edit Properties next to the plug-in you want to remove. The appropriate Edit Plug-in pane appears on the right.

Select Delete at the top of the pane. A confirmation message appears, asking if you are sure you want to delete the plug-in.

Select OK. The plug-in is removed from the frame.

Select Exit Design Mode in the dashboard tab column to complete the action.
